Yes, there are definitely some very extreme groups that are trying to avoid certain changes (please don’t ask for specifics. I do not feel like elaborating on such an obvious detail). There are women who think fathers should never be awarded primary custody, because they are not the mothers. Some think fathers should never be awarded primary custody because FUCK THEIR EX HUSBAND, THAT’S WHY!
There are always going to be extremists. They will exist at the far end of both sides of any spectrum. Why are we arguing about them? They are absolutes.
There are always going to be people with selfish motives and revenge obsessions. Those people are just shitty people.
There are, too, moms who have a legitimate fear for the safety of their kids in regards to an abusive or addicted father.
And dads who have a legitimate fear for the safety of their kids in regards to an abusive or addicted mother.
and hopefully, there are more and more parents who upon separation, have the insight to realize that, if there are two healthy parents, their children will benefit from maximum exposure to each parent. hopefully, we as a WHOLE are working towards a child-centered outcome.
why don’t you work on promoting THAT, rather than trying to keep throwing shade on the problems of the past, or the anger-fueled minority still trying to “win” at this. on both sides.
