yes. obama had an accidental slip, which i’m sure he then didn’t insist was fact foreverafter.

this is not that. this example was exactly that: a sample lie indicative of the kind of ridiculous, for no good fucking reason, lies he spouts every, single day.

How can you be just fine with that? I get glossing over events, or picking and choosing the most favorable parts of a story to release to the media, the parts that make the point you want to make, and leaving those that contradict that out. I get fudging about things like what went down with Flynn this week. But this whole bullshit about exaggerating his popularity, and ratings, and how much he won by, and the volume of the turnout of his inauguration, and saying “I’m the least racist person you’ll ever meet” and “I have the best temperament or certainly one of the best temperaments of anybody that’s ever run for the office of president. Ever.” and “No one has more respect for women than me.”

THESE ARE DANGEROUS LIES.

Why? Because there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR THEM beyond his need to look good; to preen.

Truly great men don’t have to say a word. They just ARE. But Trump can’t shut the fuck up for five minutes about how goddamned wonderful he is.

Except the things he says are in direct opposition with the actions he takes.

This does not give you pause? These are dangerous personality traits for a world leader to possess.

I, too, am an optimist. I would like nothing more than for Trump to be wildly successful as POTUS. Because if he is a success, we all succeed.

And I promise, when and if he does something that I believe is good for this country, I will be the first to praise him in all his puffed-out chested glory.

I’m just not feelin’ it. I think we will have to disagree on this one.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
