And what of the intellectual elite? I don’t see myself as one of them, because I don’t take pride in being smarter than others, though I do take pride in my ongoing attempts to learn and grow. I don’t take pride in my job title because others have labels more diminutive, I am pleased with it because I have worked very hard and very smart and feel that it is an appropriate reflection of my skills and abilities. Whatever I have to boast, it is not to differentiate myself from other people.
