This is very interesting... It feels disconcerting to experience the moment from the perspective of the main character, with all of her narcissistic tendencies ALONG with her complete ignorance of those very tendencies. I empathized 100% with the husband in the story, but it was hard to be too irritated with the wife, so sure was she of her situation and who was to blame for it.

I was married to a man much like her and while we went through divorcing, not once did it occur to me that he really didn’t see how unnecessarily cruel he was being. It all felt so intentional.

Hmmm... Lots to think about. Definitely not an easy breezy read. Well done.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
