This is the whole enchilada. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard a friend criticizing another woman’s choice to be a stay-at-home mom--some version of women “like her” keeping all of us back in the fifties.

Every time, I say NOW, WAIT! Isn’t the whole point that people should be able to choose their role? If a woman wants to work in STEM, she should! If she wants to be a full-time mom, she should! And the same goes for men.

Within each family, factors contribute to what choices may or may not be feasible. But within that, we should all get to choose what we do, who we fuck, how we dress.

I get so mad when I hear women trashing other women. After all we have been through together! If WE CAN’T MODEL THIS BEHAVIOR, IT’S PRETTY UNREALISTIC TO EXPECT ANYONE TO TAKE US SERIOUSLY.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
