The place I work, which is a tribal health organization, has as its main goal ending childhood sexual abuse within this generation. One of the main focuses is on the men. Warriors, we call them. And we teach them how to reclaim that role in their communities by teaching them to be fathers and husbands and leaders. Mind you, our CEO is a woman. So are 6 of her 8 VPs. The upper management is 80% female. Largely matriarchal. And yet, she is able to recognize the magnitude of the deficit caused by stripping men of their manhood. I think this is a huge problem in society at large. Again, this prevalence of rape culture is multifaceted in cause.
