Sometimes I read Dad’s obit and marvel at the lengths the living will go, to paint the deceased in a favorable light.

It must be to impress total strangers, the kind of people who read the obituaries for entertainment. Because anyone who knew my dad at ALL would definitely see the clear discrepancy.

Yet I’ve never once heard anyone declare, “Loved animals?!?! HAhA yeah he loved them mounted on his walls, all right!”

great piece.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
