Oh, ya, I heard the music, too.. But the thought of a perfect murder is always too enticing to dismiss. I spent my entire childhood trying to solve the unsolved without looking in the back of the book where the answers were. I think this reminded me of that.
My childhood taught me to pack mighty punches into sweet words spoken in subtle tones.. With even subtler undertones..
But no one has ever mentioned that about me. There are moments I am kind of proud of the skill set. But where it came from- me feeling satisfied and superior because my dad was too drunk or too ignorant to even realize I had insulted him-- invoked horrible guilt about feeling good about a thing like that.
Eh. I guess It is like anything in life--yin and yang.
And back to your response, YES! I wasn’t a huge De La Soul fan-that was my country music era — but,
I gotta say, still, this is one of my favorites of all time to sing in my car, or shower, whenever I hear it, every word all the way through. Sigh. ❤
