Oh, Tre. You are so gifted at creating characters who feel tangibly real. I feel like I know this little girl, and I so want to rescue her.

The way you write her with such an innocence…such sweetness. But you also write her painfully aware that what is happening to her is a terrible, untenable act. You write her holding this incredible pain inside as she goes through the motions of normalcy. And you write it in such a way that it doesn’t feel like fiction. Because I know there are Pharas out in the world today. And that just breaks my heart. ❤
