Oh, okay. I didn’t think you were mad, but I thought that I may have hurt your feelings.

I have a good friend, 52 years of age, who is currently working on her master’s thesis in creative writing. When she started her master’s program, she did not have as strong a grasp of the mechanics of writing as she would have liked to. I did a fair amount of editing for her early on, but she’s much more knowledgeable on the subject now.

The thing is, I would trade places with her in a millisecond. I am pretty good at tidying up other people’s papers, but I have no imagination of my own. My friend has an absolutely brilliant imagination. I’d take that over proper grammar any old day.

And I am happy to offer you help if I am able to help you, so just ask. Welcome to Medium.

It’s nice to meet you. :)

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
