Ms. Connie, I did not mean to offend you. It’s not like that. I do those things, too. Especially when I’m on my phone.

They don’t make me mad! They just stir up my inner grammar nazi. It’s almost like an internal cringe…I feel them even when I don’t really notice them.

And yes, if I’m reading something just rife with errors, I may stop reading because it grates on me kind of like fingernails on a chalkboard. However, I would NEVER pass judgment on someone personally because of the way they write. And those occasional mistakes we all make don’t even cause a blip on the radar.

I’m sorry if I came across as some perfectionist. I’m not.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
