Luck! š
I want to add-the very first argument my now ex-spouse and I had (within 2 days of being married), and pretty much every argument after that, his big finish was, āFine! letās just get a divorce, then!ā followed by a storm out and a slammed door.
I know you donāt do that. But if you (you being whomever is reading this) can at all refrain from using that word, no matter what, you should.
For one thing, it loses all meaning when you throw it around frequently, when youāre mad.
Second, divorce has no place in a marriage. If a marriage is ending, there will be plenty of opportunity to use the word in civil discussions of how to proceed, but it never belongs in a fight.
Because when weāre talking divorce, āthemās fightin' wordsā doesnāt even begin to cover it.
