I will always be last, because Alaska…but every night I will light a candle, to join this movement, to be a light up north.

I know love isn’t enough to fix the world, but there has to be a starting point, and I think that for me, love can be that. I have to keep believing that kindness, and the Golden Rule, are worth something because when you don’t have money, or influence, or a voice that reaches the masses, these are the tools you have, right there in your pocket, no matter where you are, or who you see, or what you do.

So, I’ll keep using them. And I’m going to keep trusting my little voice when it tells me darkness threatens under guise of light. Because it has yet to steer me wrong.
