Yes, I get that it is the top story on the profile page, and when you click it, it opens up to this lovely, contained, neatly ordered list of the written works you most want to showcase for readers.

But if I DIDN”T know that (because until today, I did not know that), I may have guessed from the title, and clicked through to the aesthetically pleasing version of your stuff. but more likely, I’d have just done what most people do to begin, and scrolled through the profile page.

Which is a mess.

Do you understand that I’m wanting to be able to search ALEXAINIE and then click on the profile page link that the search reveals, and be taken directly to that tidy list of stories that I have decided upon showcasing, without all of the flotsam interspersed throughout the actual list (which is going to show up in whatever order Medium chooses, except for the first story, which we get to choose).

I don’t want the list to be a workaround we have to use because there isn’t a more intuitive option. And i know it doesn’t exist and that this is the best we can do at the moment. I just find that it’s best to be clear, as end users, about the look and feel we hope the designers will evolve into. Anyway, it’s not a big deal to me (though I’m sure it seems that way by now lol); I’ll create a page like yours when I get the time to focus on that.

I appreciate so much you taking the time to help me out and that you remained so patient when you had to have been scratching your head, thinking,

I didn’t THINK she was an idiot, however,I’m not so sure anymore…

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
