I’m so glad I ignored your direction and read this anyway. In many ways, my path as a parent (and sister. And daughter. ) mirrors that of your mother. And I know what a deep well of regret those lost years bring. I wish her peace and the ability to forgive herself. That is the hardest part for me. Thank you for remaining open and willing in regards to both her growth and her humanness. We grow…sometimes we take steps back, too. Sometimes lessons don’t sink in the first time around. Or the sixtieth. But as long as a person keeps trying to be better, they deserve a break. I have much more to say but not the time to say it…so we will talk later on. ❤

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
