I’m confused. Are you saying that bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder are the result of trauma? I may have missed some of this thread. But that is what it sounds like you are saying.

2 develop depression

3 develop bipolar disorder

3 develop PTSD

2 are asymptomatic.

Correct? ( I made up numbers because going back to see on my phone is a pain and the power just went out here)

Because I know there is such a thing as situational depression. And I know that certain people tend to sort of propel me into a manic episode, if I’m not prepared, as do certain circumstances.

But those things can also occur around no one while doing nothing. Circumstances can exacerbate my existing disorder, but I’m not sure I agree that circumstances are the cause of it.

Anyway I’ll try to read back and get the discussion details figured out so that I’m not barking up the wrong tree or kicking a dead horse.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
