If what happens to us personally doesn’t matter than what the hell does? I gave you one example of something that has, in some form, happened to me over, and over, and over again. Something that has happened to my 14 year old daughter at her school, over and over again. It is an attitude of male ownership of female bodies, and it is pervasive, and it is enduring, and to discount it is beyond ignorant. It is something that, from an early age, every woman I know has been conditioned to brush off as an annoyance, when in reality it is much more than that. The problem is that those little rubs up against us, and those unsolicited ass grabs, and the hard cocks pressed against us as he walks by in a crowded hallway-all little things we can’t prove because who can prove THAT when all he has to say is that it was an accident and we must be mistaken or hysterical and GOD FORBID he is someone we have to work with or ride the bus home with or in any way see on a daily basis because he will make sure everyone knows what an ugly bitch he thinks we are and laugh at how ridiculous we are to think he would EVER touch the likes of us on purpose.

THAT is the way a certain type of man — and not a rare one--perpetuates the victimization of women.

This is not a behavior limited by gender, it’s true. There are predatory women who engage in the same unwanted behavior, and I don’t excuse them. And anyone who babbles nonsense about the hot female teacher sleeping with her student being some sort of ideal to which young boys should strive is disturbed. It’s no different than an adult male teacher sleeping with an underage female-illegal and it should be prosecuted.

I don’t think women are special snowflakes. But assholes, as you have so deemed them, are created from belief systems that tell them they have the right to behave towards women in ways they would never accept someone behaving towards them.

I would never, unsolicited, deem it appropriate to touch a man intimately. I could not even begin to count the number of times I have fielded such unwanted advances.

I’m not even sure why I’m responding to you. You are clearly only interested in trying to negate anything anyone says. I’m not trying to change your little mind. But I’ve been on a break from writing, and responding to your infantile, tired rhetoric is as good a way to dip my big toe back into the pool as any. Because your opinion means to me about as much as mine means to you.

Have a great 2017.

Peace.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
