If I may recommend a book, “Have a New Kid by Friday” by Dr. Kevin Leman absolutely changed my mornings. I have a 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son. She’s horrible to have to wake up and he sleeps like the dead and makes it hard for me to wake him up without snuggling in next to him lol. The process will work for large scale issues, but it’s just as effective at the little stuff that drives you to drink, too. I used to spend all morning yelling and freaking out trying to get three people ready. I had to be reminded that kids are smarter than we give them credit for. To the lady who “has” to get her teenage son up daily, what if you didn’t do that tomorrow? Or ever again?

Short answer- he would do it himself.

My kids had to go to school in their PJs ONCE. In 2013.

I haven’t had to wake a kid since. They get totally ready on their own. We have awesome, chill mornings.

Seriously. Best thing ever.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
