I was trying to explain perception and perspective to my 9 year old son yesterday (I’m not entirely sure I understand the distinction completely, but I tried). Memory is such a fragile thing. And it is the most powerful thing. And I wish there’d been no erroneous cruel acts.
I love her words. My daughter used to tell me she was “bein’ hayve” when I’d pick her up from daycare. She thought when I said “behave” it was like when I said “be good”. I love that. My son has always just made up whatever word he figured fit in any given situation and assumed that he was right. Magnetricity was a favorite of mine.
I’ve been thinking about ya. :)
