I used to live in a tiny village without running water; I’ve done my fair share of hand washing/hand wringing/hang drying. Funny how a person adapts to the circumstances. When it was normal, it didn’t phase me. If someone told me now that I had to return to washing my clothes that way, 99% of my wardrobe would probably be walking around on its own before I got around to putting in that kind of effort. But all in all, I don’t mind doing laundry. What I mind is always doing laundry.
And I think the elderly people I share the laundry room with might suffer permanent damage if I just started walking around in my birthday suit. Or maybe not. But, they might take it as a hint. And I’m quite certain I would suffer permanent damage if they started walking around in theirs. ;)
