I sooo agree with this. People want the deficit fixed and they want Obamacare gone. And those 2 things are big enough to ignore a little pussy-grabbing over. I think that MANY who voted Trump were disgusted that they felt it was their only option. Just because they voted for him doesn’t mean they agree with his view on the other issues. They just didn’t find anything in Clinton that would help them.

I disagree that the result had nothing to do with third parties, though. Lowest voter turnout since way back when, and the way those phantom votes read to me is Bernie Sanders ( that’s whispered lol). By not voting en masse, the outcome that Sanders hoped to avoid by not running on the Independent ticket was still brought to bear. I don’t think it was unintentional. I think it was meant to send Washington a very clear message:

We will not be moving forward with the status quo. Things need to change.

I imagine they would have preferred a different instrument of change, but nope.

I voted for Hillary because Bernie was gone, and that is the only reason. Until I saw the data released about numbers, etc., I never believed all those people would really protest the election by abstaining.

I was wrong.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
