I just wanted you to know, it’s not just you. Ask Heath how many of his poems I’ve green hearted or commented on in comparison to his fiction and prose.

It isn’t that I don’t think Heath is an ingenius poet. Or Aura. Or Anna. Or Tre. Or Walker. Or Wild Flower. Or Orisiri. Or Heather. And many more.

I know that they are all amazing at writing in form and creating art and bleeding their pain or joy or fear or lust onto the page and sharing it with us.

I know because I have read poetry written by each and I know good poetry when I read it.

However, it is most definitely not my jam. I much prefer things to be clear and logical and literal, most of the time. I think I’m either too lazy or to busy to spend much time on interpretation.

Because I really did love poetry before I had kids, but it mostly makes me tired now. ☺

Thank you for this comment, because I figured that out about myself while I responded.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
