I had much the same reaction, but watching “Beyond Stranger Things" (also on Netflix) helped to even that out.

I basically learned that even these kids (the actors, not their characters), who I imagine have managed to avoid some of the angst due to their celebrity status (not that it doesnt bring them a whole different set of issues we never had to contend with), felt gross and awkward and totally horrified and embarrassed even just PRETENDING the whole school dance scene, I felt a little more removed emotionally. It’s short, I highly suggest it if just to hear their interpretation of filming the first kiss scenes.

It will make you feel grown up again. If that’s what you’re going for. And also it’s hilarious.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
