I find it very alarming. 12-step has taught me some valuable lessons, but I have also found it fraught with people who manage to completely obliterate the very principles they preach AS THEY PREACH THEM…

It’s so oxymoronic…the whole premise is staying on our side of the street and out of the other guy’s, while treating others with (only) love and tolerance. Even those who have harmed us…to then go and dictate to another person, who didn’t ask and who hasn’t hurt thrm, about how they should be living their life is textbook hypocrisy.

It shouldn’t be expected to be a perfect program, but it should be a Damn sight better than this.

I’m sorry for the intolerance you have been subjected to. That is in complete opposition to what the 12-steps promise.
