I enjoy true crime stories and was happy to find you here. Something is really puzzling to me, though, so I thought I would ask. I hope this doesn’t offend you, but I have to know what the occasional single italicized words are supposed to mean. I’ve looked and looked for some sort of connection between them but they seem truly random. Italics are intended to provide emphasis, but I cant see why you would want to emphasize these particular words.

I know, weird thing to get my knickers twisted over, but its driving me crazy that I’m maybe missing some hidden meaning somewhere. As you know, us true crime buffs like solving mysteries. ☺
