I confess to buying into the “not everyone who voted for trump was okay with his flagrant racist behaviors, they just thought Hillary was more dangerous than he was.”

Because I still believe that to be true. Or at least, I think there are a lot of Trump voters who believe that is their reason, and aren’t yet able to see it for the kick in the face that it is to those he insulted, and those hurt by people he inspired to violence.

I believe they believe a certain reality, and I don’t know if their eyes will ever be open to their own part in things.

I would like to say *I* am so ashamed for not having been a louder voice or more help in the past. This was a very well written and thorough explanation and description of the utter self-obsession of the average white liberal American today. Thank you.
