I am truly tired of the “why wouldn’t the democratic party want the democratic candidate to win?” mentality.

We have elected people purely on the basis of party affiliation for far too long. The majority of Americans couldn’t name a single item on either candidate’s platform. They will vote simply based on party affiliation. Many, a party affiliation they inherited from their parents that they don’t even understand.

An inheritance of a party whose definition and framework are radically different than they were even a generation ago.

America desperately needs to give enough of a fuck to get educated about the whole process. Again, if necessary. Because this isn’t our grandparent’s party, and it hasn’t been for a while now.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
