Here’s my problem: I LOVE Meatball subs, and cheesesteaks, and calzones, pizza, stromboli and the like SOSOSO MUCH except for one thing.

If I get a bite of bread with the least bit of sogginess to it I will literally gag, and spend the rest of the meal trying not to throw up.

Gross, I know. But I couldn’t just not eat those things so basically I end up taking out the insides and eating them and throwing the bread away.

As you might imagine, this is a less-than-satisfying practice that takes the comfort right out of comfort food.

How do you get the inside of the stromboli done enough that it’s not doughy AT ALL?!?

Note: I haven’t even attempted this dish because I see no chance at succeeding. But for years I have wished I could ..I know my kids would love it, and they’re hard to please. But I want to eat it too!!!


I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
