Great article. One of the worst side-effects of an overly tech- obsessed society in my VERY humble opinion has been the systemic erosion of buy-in to the knowledge/idea that just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

I find that such deterioration, along with the widespread loss of healthy respect for moral and ethical boundaries as we burst, uninvited, into corners of the unknown that maybe should remain that way, reminds me with the force of a 2x4 across the skull that not every dream should be given a platform. Not every whim of brilliance should be watered and nurtured to maximum potential, to the extent that the soil of humanity is leached of resources that have otherwise been utilized in the development of the spirit, and empathy, and moderating temperament and behavior.

I don’t fear a tech takeover so much as I fear a spiritual, love-your-neighbor, I am my brother’s keeper, first, do no harm, kinda drought.

It’s gonna get ugly, real fast.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
