It rained all day Thursday, which was good, because there was a huge forest fire growing just south of Anchorage that needed to be extinguished. Of course, all I could think was,
“SURE! It’s been 80 degrees + without a cloud in the sky for over a week and now, OF COURSE it’s going to rain on our zip tour tomorrow!”
Because I’m just selfish like that.
As I predicted, we woke to rain on Friday at 8 a.m.
However, by 9:30 it had stopped, and by 10:30, when our tour began, it was gorgeous. There were some clouds; just enough to blot out Denali, which was a little bit of a bummer, but it was beautiful out. Not too hot, not too damp…
I felt like Goldilocks in the baby bear’s bed. :)
We finished at around 1 p.m.
It started pouring at about 1:15, and it poured the whole two hour drive back to town.
Makes you wonder.
