Exactly. I knew from day one that Bernie would never end up in the White House.

But that isn’t how he was supposed to impact America, anyway. He’s in his mid-seventies. Baby Boomer. Yet somehow, he bridged the generational gap and started millions of little fires in the hearts of future leaders who have the time and the stamina to put all of his promises into action, if they choose. Or, to develop and carry out even better plans. He gave an entire nation the courage to dream of something different, and the voice to share those dreams out loud.

He encouraged, and for the most part, he kept his focus on what he planned to do rather than trashing his opponent’s reputation. He led by example.

And we had a great opportunity, when he announced his endorsement, to remember that example and react with loyalty; to trust his decision.

So, nice Fuck up, America.

If you can dial back your egos a little bit, maybe you still have a chance to see that the change Bernie Sanders was meant to make was YOU.

So, get ready.

You’re on deck.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
