But herein lies the rub. It is not that he will necessarily target a type of person. It is that he takes ANYTHING other than abject praise and adoration as a PERSONAL insult.

I definitely miss journalism of old; I’m not trying to say it hasn’t been seriously eroded since it became “big business”.

However, ANY reporter asking a question Trump doesn’t want to answer is immediately labeled the enemy (LITERALLY) and becomes subject to constant attacks.

People say this is a media problem and that journalism has become a joke. I can’t disagree, but if we still had the media present during Nixon’s presidency, with THIS president, he would, I believe, be even more destructive because those guys asked tough questions and they expected answers.

Trump terrifies me because as he delegitimizes one person, then another, then another, he muddies American waters. And they were already muddy enough. His whole strategy is divide and conquer..And just as he’s been unable to separate business and politics, he is unable to distinguish between the legitimate use of journalism (asking about matters related to his duties and how they’re being carried out), and sensationalistic “hater” news (questions about urine in any form, really).

To him, everything is personal. So when you say he only hurts people on a “personal” level, you can understand that does nothing to assuage my concerns. Right?

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
