Brilliant essay.

As the daughter of a veteran who fought in Vietnam, I hold your grandfather and all of our troops, past and present, in high regard, with the utmost respect.

I’m not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat. But I desperately hope all Bernie or Bust’ers read this and wake up to the reality of the damage that movement has the power to inflict.

This is not a time for self-righteousness. We may all have good reason to be self-righteous, it’s true. But acting on that reason in this election serves only one person. Let what divides us take a back seat to what unites us now.

Because it seems that Donald Trump is going to do one or the other.

And if we let him, as crazy as it sounds, he could be the best thing that’s happened to this country in a long time.

His defeat could mark the moment we finally became the United States of America again.

Now, wouldn’t that just be a kick in the pants?

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
