also, I’m incredibly proud of you for kicking successfully… I never used IV (I would have died, I’m positive), but I have enjoyed detoxing from both opiates (oxy and hydrocodone — long-term use) and meth (much shorter duration of use) and using meth to get through the opiate withdrawal makes complete sense to me. Coming off a week-long meth binge is infinitely more tolerable than cold-turkeying opiates straight. i couldn’t have done it. I had a doctor wean me off my 300 mg a day (30 pills) hydrocodone habit over a six month period. The man was a fucking saint. i never got into heroin, and i am grateful. i’ve seen so many young people overdose, the first time. The second time. Because of what I abused, the greatest damage I suffered was to my liver, from the Tylenol.

all those drugs, all those years and the one that ended up being the greatest danger was the one I could give my infant children. Something scary about that.

I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want it to be spelled right and punctuated correctly. I guess that’s something.
